Class I Security Officer, Unarmed
Main Responsibility: Deterrence through high visibility; observe and
report; no written report; limited contact; makes no arrests.
Class II Security Officer, Unarmed
Main Responsibility: Deterrence through high visibility; observe and
report; write daily reports; write incident reports; has greater public
relations skills for more direct client contact; makes no arrests.
Class III Security Officer, Baton and Mace
Main Responsibility: Deterrence through high visibility; observe and
report; write daily reports; write incident reports; has greater public
relations skills for more direct client contact; may make arrests
(depending on client needs and situation).
Class IV Security Officer, Firearm, Baton and Mace (Basic)
Main Responsibility: Deterrence through high visibility; observe and
report; write daily reports; write incident reports; has greater public
relations skills for more direct client contact; makes arrests
(depending on client needs and situation).
Class V Security Officer, Firearm, Baton and Mace (Advanced)
These officers have received advanced training (specific details of
training received are available upon request). These officers normally
work in teams and are proactive in nature. They conduct
investigations into drug and gang activity. They will detail suspects
to complete a file including photographs of them and will make
arrests and testify in court.
Class VI Security Officer, Police Academy Trained, Armed
Has received same training as a Class V Security Officer
and is also Police Academy trained.
Security Medic, Unarmed
A Class II or III security officer that is also a certified Emergency
Medical Technician IA. All security medics are experienced members
of ambulance crews in metropolitan areas of Southern California.
These officers are trained, equipped and experienced to handle both
trauma and medical emergencies (EMT scope of practice available
upon request).
Security Medic, Armed
A Class IV or V security officer that is also a certified EMT IA (see
above descriptions).
